Watched All Hell Breaks Loose Pt 1 last night. I got all observant during the last scene and after having it on my mind the whole day, I need to share my fit of masochistic angst!worship.

I know ya'll have seen it a gazillion times the same as I have but here it is, cut for spoilers, mucho angst and general stating of the obvious.

When he has Sam in his arms, right after he tells him that it's his job to look after his pain in the ass little brother... he pulls back to look at Sam's face and then pulls him in close and there's just this look. It's a "this is it. My little brother's gonna die here in my arms and for once, there's nothing I can do to save him" look. Like he not only hates that Sam's slipping away, but that it's in the middle of a dirt field. The whole scene is heartbreaking and so beautifully acted by both boys but that look kills me DED EVERY TIME.

I'm either tired or crazy. Either way, IT'S A GOOD LOOK, DAMMIT. (In that Dean, you angst so nicely sorta way. Shut up.)

Jensen Ackles, ladies and gentleman. The most under appreciated actor on television.

I agree so goddamn much. Jensen Ackles just floors me every single time. When he cries, I'm crying.

And to think, we thought we were lucky to get the many chin wibble in "In my Time of Dying." We had no idea there'd be crying, just a few episodes later. And, of course, that single tear in "Heart?" Good Lord. Jensen Ackles owns me.

He definitely has the ability to make me sniffle. He just does it all so beautifully! His heart breaks, my heart breaks and its all downhill from there.

I know what look you're talking about, it's all hard and empty and you can see it in his eyes that he's realizing that Sam's dead. OCT 4 plz!

I'm a horrible person for saying it, but hard and empty and Dean are like this mini-OTP for me just because I marvel at how he acts it out EVERY TIME.

Jensen. He acts with his whole body. A twitch of facial muscle here and a flutter of eyelashes there and the story's told. Freaking brilliant, this man.

Fucking brilliant indeed. It really pisses me off when people say (or used to say, I haven't heard it too much lately) that people only like him for the pretty because... yeah. Amazing.
