Jensen is awesome and Jared is awesome but together? Yeah. Something just *clicks* when they're around each other. But yes, save away!
As for seeing them, I really really thought I was going to have a meltdown too. The whole weekend leading up to it, I slowly got more nervous and honestly, when they finally did come out, I almost cried. It sounds extremely corny but it was just overwhelming. What amazed me the most was that yeah, it was Jensen and Jared but mostly, they just looked like Sam and Dean. Sometimes they look different at events, they have a little facial hair, etc, but it WAS Sam and Dean and it was just surreal as hell. And I definitely have to agree with you on them being together. I was telling someone yesterday that they're the epitome of best friends and it's just amazing to witness. (And SO adorable)
